Meet the Team

Horner Performance Horses is home to Therese Horner in Kearney, Nebraska and Kelsey Ebke in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Our homes, open since 2011 and 2017, respectively are a family-friendly atmosphere where we strive to share our passion for horses with you.

We hope you enjoy learning a little about us and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Therese Horner

I'm a 4-H alumna and passionate about youth, horses and developing a team. I have experience bringing along the beginner at any age. I can help a timid rider gain confidence and the advanced rider reach their show goals.

In our barn, we have an active show team with big goals in the show pen. We also have a program with a group of lesson students that offers them the opportunity to ride without owning their own horse. I'm proud of our students and have coached them up to the state 4-H finals in showmanship, horsemanship, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, equitation and hunter hack.

I got my start showing 4-H and am now active showing in AQHA, APHA and ABRA breed shows. My daughters are both grown, but I spent many years coaching them to achieve their equestrian goals. I've been a 4-H horse leader for 21 years and our barn is home to the Denim N' Diamonds 4-H club in Kearney. In 2008, I was honored to receive the 2008 Buffalo County alumni award. I've built this business from the ground up and it's been a home to help successfully train many horses and students. I also run a boarding business and take pride in giving the horses excellent care so that they are fit and healthy for the show pen.

Kelsey (Horner) Ebke

I'm Therese's youngest daughter and am passionate about sharing my knowledge and love for the industry with my clients. I have a masters in elementary education, and believe in developing a lesson or training program that tailors to each riders' individual needs. It is important to me to help my customers reach their goals, but also for them to enjoy their hobby of riding and showing horses.
I got my first horse when I was five, and have had experience in a wide variety of disciplines. I grew up showing 4-H, AQHA, APHA, PHBA and ABRA shows and competed at the AQHYA world championship show. I was the President of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Western and Hunt-Seat Equestrian Team and was part of 6th place national team. In college, I earned a regional high-point champion, semi-national reining champion, 3rd in the nation in advanced horsemanship and 7th in the nation in open reining. After college, I interned under NRHA professional Mike Davis, where I managed the lesson program and was an assistant trainer for his reining futurity program.

Along with showing, I was a member of the reserve Congress champion UNL judging team and was a youth state judging champion. I am an AQHA Level 1 judge and also judge many open and 4-H horse shows around Nebraska and Iowa. Last year, I had the opportunity to coach my first State 4-H Horse judging champion. With new facilities built in 2017, I'm just beginning to build my lesson program in Lincoln and just founded the Tails N' Trails 4-H club in 2017. I love to learn and am constantly trying to stay educated from other professionals and judges to stay current in the industry!

Lindsey (Horner) Langemeier

You might find me, the oldest daughter, behind the scenes at Horner Performance Horses from time to time. I'm a busy PR professional in real life, but in my free time, I help tell the story about Horner Performance Horses on the website and in social media or maybe something simple like designing a logo for your HPH gear. I focus on the technology so my mom and Kelsey can focus on what they do best.
